Hi Dr. Jill,
I got one of the cheaper models, forgetting that I have a non symptomatic hole in my ear. (Had the other one operated on 12 years ago for Superior Canal Dehiscence.). After 3 times was left with disabling dizziness/vertigo for a week. Further research led me to a Canadian PT Margaret Martin and her interview with a Dr. Clinton Rubin who has developed a very low vibration plate, and claims that all the others, including the Power Plate, can be dangerous. I’m 70 with osteoporosis/CFS and last two years have had a broken femur and currently rehabbing a knee replacement that’s not gone well so get no exercise to speak of. Would love to use one of these but am leery after my experience. Could you possibly interview Dr. Rubin sometime to get his thoughts?

Is this ok for people with MCAS? I’ve seen some articles that include vibration as a trigger for mast cells. I have a vibration plate and would love to use it again, but scared of having a flare.
Heat, cold, hormones, sunlight and physical touch can all induce mast cell degranulation. Although extremely rare, scientist have discovered some people have genetic cause for allergy to vibration.
You usually write about MCAS, is that correct?
Whole body vibration would not be wise for those of us with MCAS.

Will you recommend something for those of us with such a reduced quality of life, and seemingly no easy answers for this life-altering disability.
Whole body vibration is contraindicated for those with structural instability and mast cell issues.
I cannot find the study mentioned at the Springpoint Senior Assisted Living Center where people used the Power Plate 3 days a week 15 minutes of exercise. Can you post the link to this exact study or give the exact name of the study, the authors and where it is published to purchase or download? I would like to read the actual study. After spending 15 plus minutes I give up I cannot figure out which study this. Please help, he mentions this around the 22 minute mark of your interview.
