The holiday spirit is in full swing! For some, what is supposed to be the season to be jolly can be a time of unhappiness and depression. In one survey by the American Psychological Association, 38 percent of responders reported an increase in stress level. Unsurprisingly, one of the biggest stress and anxiety inducers of the holiday season is shopping for gifts. Finding the perfect gift for everyone on your list can be difficult. Will your sister-in-law really like a bottle of perfume? Will your gift for your parents measure up to the one your sibling got them? Can you just hand out gift cards instead?
Ideally, you want to get a meaningful gift for each person on your list. And what better way is there to celebrate the season than with gifts that will help them maximize their health in 2020? So, if you’re looking for inspiration on gift ideas, keep reading to find out my top healthy gift ideas for 2019!
1) FRANZ Jet Dual Mask System
Nothing beats the gift of clear, wrinkle-free skin. Navigating a dizzying array of skincare products may not fit your idea of stress relief, but the FRANZ Jet Dual Mask System makes the choice simple. Powered by a new technology called reverse electrodialysis-driven iontophoresis, this three-step system delivers nourishing and reparative biomolecules to the innermost layers of your skin. The result is a noticeably clearer, smoother, younger-looking skin.
If you’re interested in learning more about how the FRANZ Jet Dual Mask System works, check out my article Is Electricity the Key to Healthier, Younger-Looking Skin? How One Company is Changing the Game in the World of Skincare.
2) HA Collagen Booster
Bitter cold months are still ahead of us, and if your skin is already feeling dry and sensitive, you’re not alone. But how can we cure it? It all comes down to keeping your skin hydrated — but there’s more to winter skincare than lathering on thick moisturizer.
Your skin does a remarkably great job as a barrier against potentially harmful extrinsic factors, but it also severely limits the types and sizes of beneficial molecules that can penetrate it. Large molecules, such as hyaluronic acid (HA), are unable to be delivered to the deeper layers of the skin. Decreased HA has been suggested to reduce the elasticity of the skin and to promote wrinkle formation.
To enhance skin penetration, HA Collagen Booster has been specially formulated with a proprietary trans-epidermal carrier to provide intense, immediate, and long-lasting hydration and promote healthier, smoother, and more radiant skin.
3) Annemarie Gianni
Healthy-looking skin does so much good for our self-confidence, which is why the first three products on my healthy holiday gift guide are skincare products. And thanks in part to social media, another trend that has garnered much attention is natural skincare.
But not all natural skincare products are equal. Annemarie Gianni products are:
- Certified by MADE SAFE
- Certified by Leaping Bunny
- Made in the USA
I highly recommend Annemarie Gianni’s Phytonutrient Cleanser, a lavish concoction of herbs and other natural ingredients that softens, calms, and renews the look of your skin.
4) Aires Tech
A vast majority of Americans now own a cell phone. And with the rising popularity of Bluetooth devices like AirPods, the concerns surrounding electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure has also increased. Recent peer-reviewed studies have suggested that EMF can negatively affect living organisms even at frequencies below international and national guidelines.
While there is an ongoing debate about electronic devices and EMF, those who are concerned can invest in products from Aires Tech, a company that designs EMF shields to reduce the potential harmful effects of EMF. Aires Tech offers three products:
- Aires Shield Pro for reducing EMF from cell phones, cordless phones, tablets, baby monitors, smart TVs, etc.
- Aires Defender Pro for personal protection from EMF pollution coming from personal communication devices, power lines, and cell phone towers.
- Aires Guardian for area protection from EMF pollution coming from Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, satellite radio found in your vehicle, home, or office.
5) Air Purifier from Austin Air
Okay, maybe air filters aren’t normally what you consider holiday gifts, but there is mounting evidence that associates indoor air pollution with health problems such as asthma and allergies. For people with mold sensitivities (including myself), a good air purifier is truly the best gift money can buy.
There are many air filters on the market, but I recommend HEPA filters that are capable of capturing particles at least 0.3 microns in size. Austin Air provides the only clinically proven, medical grade air purifiers on the market that can help individuals and families with severe allergies, asthma, chemical sensitivities, or chronic illnesses such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, commonly referred to as COPD.
I’m a professional dealer for Austin Air, which means that I receive a small commission when you make a purchase through me. No additional cost is passed on to you. If you are interested in purchasing an Austin Air product, call my office at (303) 993-7910 to order and we will drop ship to your home.

There’s truly nothing more important for good health than having access to clean, safe drinking water. You may already be aware that hydration is important for eliminating toxins from your body and keeping your skin looking supple and healthy, but did you know that water also assists in joint lubrication? (For more fun facts about water, read my article Drinking Pure Water: An Overlooked Key to Optimal Health!)
But our tap water is also becoming increasingly contaminated with various pollutants, making a water filtration system essential for all homes. The technology that Boroux water filters uses to purify water is able to handle even the very smallest of water contaminants, including viruses, making it one of the most powerful water filtering systems available. With a Boroux water filter, you will have peace of mind knowing that you’re drinking truly pure water.
Boroux water filters are definitely an investment. However, they last for such a long time that they usually pay for themselves within a few months. Once you taste the difference, you’ll never want to go back to regular tap water.
7) BioElectric Shield
- Block, deflect, and neutralize the impact of EMF radiation
- Regulate energy by reducing the impact of unhealthy energies from people, places, and devices
- Resonate and amplify your energy
If the description sounds a bit odd to you, I get it. I didn’t believe the claims at first either. But I’ve been using the BioElectric Shield as a personal energy pendant to help me focus, to prevent fatigue when I travel, and to protect myself from EMFs. And now you can try it for yourself with a 10 percent discount when you use the code DrJill at BioElectricShield.com.
Who’s not a fan a coffee? There is truly nothing better than waking up to the fresh aroma of coffee in the morning. And with over 1,000 bioactive components, coffee is actually good for you!
Actually, let me clarify that sentence. Some coffee is good for you. As I shared in my article Is There Mold in Your Coffee? When Mycotoxins Matter, studies have found that up to 45 percent of coffee tested positive for the presence of mycotoxins. It’s true that more research needs to be done to determine whether or not we should be concerned. However, it’s also true that our bodies are already overloaded with toxins.
You know probiotics are good for your gut health, but did you know they’re also good for your home? That’s right — you’re surrounded by all kinds of microbes in your home. In fact, the average home contains about 2,253 distinct types of microbes.1 These often unseen culprits are sneaky and dangerous, triggering symptoms such as allergies, asthma, chronic fatigue, muscle and joint pain, and cognitive impairment.
They’re also responsible for pesky odors that just won’t go away. Many people resort to using air fresheners that just mask the odor without tackling the source.
Now there’s another choice: Homebiotic, a chemical-free, probiotic-based cleanser that fights mold spores and harmful bacteria in your home. It’s an especially great gift for anyone who may have been impacted by floods. I use Homebiotic myself, and I couldn’t be more pleased. That’s why I’ve partnered with them to provide a 10 percent discount code just for you. Simply click here to automatically receive your discount.

We often talk about trying to avoid chemicals in our foods, water, skincare products, cleaning products, and even clothing, but have you ever thought about the chemicals lurking in your bed? Traditional mattresses have been found to emit up to 61 different types of chemicals, including:
- Flame retardants
- Synthetic latex
- Boric acid
These chemicals are definitely not things you want to be sleeping on every night. And when you think about the fact that the average adult spends about a third of his/her life sleeping, you may want to consider giving the gift of an organic mattress to your family members (including yourself).2
The organic mattress I recommend is Naturepedic. Their products meet the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), the world’s leading standard in high-level environmental criteria. Naturepedic products are also certified by the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS), MADE SAFE, OCS100 Organic Content Standard, GREENGUARD, Forest Stewardship Council, and Green America.

11) Human Charger
If you or someone in your family travels frequently like I do, you’re probably all too familiar with the symptoms of jet lag. Irritability, fatigue, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal disturbances — these are all signs of disruption to your circadian clock. While jet lag is temporary, many people just can’t afford to not be at 100 percent, especially when traveling for work.
Enter the Human Charger. Developed by a Finnish company called Valkee, the Human Charger shines light directly into your ears, stimulating the photosensitive receptors of the brain. Using the Human Charger for just 12 minutes a day can alleviate jet lag symptoms, improve your mood, raise your energy levels, and increase mental alertness. One study conducted by Valkee found that participants who used the Human Charger took only half as long to recover from jet lag in comparison to the placebo group.3

The average American now spends up to 90 percent of his/her time indoors. We’re always told to avoid spending too much time in the sun, and while that’s true, it’s also a fact that our cells want and need the full spectrum of light to produce energy.
This is where targeted light therapy comes in. Red light (630 to 660 nm) and near infrared light (850 or 880 nm) have been shown to be able to stimulate the mitochondria (the power station of a cell) to produce more energy. With more energy, your cells can do more work, leading to benefits such as:
- Increased production of collagen and elastin
- Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Increased blood circulation
- Reduced inflammation
- Improved athletic performance
- Improved brain health and cognitive functions (e.g., memory, learning, etc.)
- Faster recovery after workouts
Thanks to Joovv, you don’t have to leave the comfort of your home to experience the benefits of red light therapy. For just 10 to 15 minutes a day,
