I just watched your presentation on the Viral and Retro Summit, and I wanted to tell you that your personal story was very encouraging to me! I thought my struggle has been difficult, and it is nothing comparable to what you overcame! I was diagnosed with Lyme’s some 20 years ago, and I struggle with many serious autoimmune issues. But I never had cancer, and, although my doctor suspected Crohn’s when I was having abdominal issues (that were Leaky Gut, long before Leaky Gut was a known phenomenon), I was never diagnosed with that. Hearing you keeps me fighting, like all those other people who never give up. I am still suffering, but I have learned a lot, changed a lot, and improved my situation a lot, so I keep going. Thank-you for your positive presentation! I took home a lot!
My name is Haley Halteman. I am a certified nutrition therapy practitioner and a 200-hour registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance with certifications in Power Yoga and Kids Yoga. I also just finished my masters in nutrition therapy through the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, CO. I believe physical health and emotional peace are not only possible but also interconnected. I am passionate about true wellness and believe I was created to help others feel loved and find inspiration to live to a healthier life.
I grew up in the world labeled as alternative medicine. Both of my parents were chiropractors who placed a heavy emphasis on nutrition. From a young age, I had the privilege of seeing first-hand just how powerful the body is and its ability to heal itself quicker when given the proper tools. While I knew the importance of proper nutrition and lifestyle management, I did not realize it was a true passion of mine until later in life.
After receiving a business administration degree with concentrations in marketing and entrepreneurship from North Carolina State University, I joined the corporate fashion world. However, I soon realized that God had a different calling in my life. Turning my world upside down, I moved to Colorado to start this journey that has led me to where I am today.
