YUM! I just received this great recipe for almond honey crisps from a patient! The perfect snack for school, work, or even an after dinner treat. Your whole family is sure to love it. Enjoy!

Health Benefits of Almonds

Almonds contain lots of healthy fats, fiber, protein, magnesium and vitamin E. The health benefits of almonds include lower blood sugar levels, reduced blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels. They can also reduce hunger and promote weight loss.

  1. Reduce Heart Attack Risk
  2. Lowers ‘Bad’ Cholesterol
  3. Protects artery walls from damage
  4. Build strong bones and teeth with the phosphorus in almonds

Ingredients
  • 1 cup raw whole almonds coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter or coconut oil
  • 2-3 tbsp clover honey to taste
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt

Instructions
  1. Whip butter/oil, honey, vanilla and sea salt in food processor.
  2. Blend with chopped almonds. Spread in parchment-lined 8x8" baking dish.
  3. Bake at 375 degrees until golden (about 20 minutes). Let cool. Cut into 9-12 squares.
