Coconut Chai Tea

This delicious and comforting Coconut Chai Tea is packed with antioxidants like decaf black tea, clove, cinnamon and black pepper. Combined with cardamom and coconut milk for digestive support. And xylitol has been shown to help improve dental health and combat Candida/yeast overgrowth in the digestive tract.

History of Chai Tea

Unlike many milky teas, which are brewed in water with milk later added, traditional masala chai is often brewed directly in the milk. In many Eurasian languages, chai or cha is the word for tea. This comes from the Persian چای chay, which originated from the Chinese word for tea 茶 chá.

Ingredients
  • 4 ounces Filtered water
  • 4 ounces Coconut Milk
  • 1-2 tsp xylitol or organic whole leaf stevia
  • 1 decaf organic chai tea bag

Instructions
  1. Bring water and coconut milk to a slow boil and pour into a mug.
  2. Steep tea bag for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add xylitol, stir and savor
Recipe Notes

Dr. Jill likes to add a dash of cinnamon to hers!  Also you can substitute organic whole leaf stevia if preferred for xylitol.
