History of Chai Tea
Unlike many milky teas, which are brewed in water with milk later added, traditional masala chai is often brewed directly in the milk. In many Eurasian languages, chai or cha is the word for tea. This comes from the Persian چای chay, which originated from the Chinese word for tea 茶 chá.
Coconut Chai Tea |
- 4 ounces Filtered water
- 4 ounces Coconut Milk
- 1-2 tsp xylitol or organic whole leaf stevia
- 1 decaf organic chai tea bag

- Bring water and coconut milk to a slow boil and pour into a mug.
- Steep tea bag for 3-5 minutes.
- Add xylitol, stir and savor
Dr. Jill likes to add a dash of cinnamon to hers! Also you can substitute organic whole leaf stevia if preferred for xylitol.
