A4M Module II Cardiology
Module II: Cardiology will highlight clinical cardiovascular information, through an overview of didactic learning, case studies, clinical applications, therapeutic guidelines, and extensive faculty interaction with top-tier practicing clinicians. Attendees will not only learn the most clinically current research in the field of cardiovascular health, but also understand best practices & protocols for applying educational concepts to other forms of metabolic disease. Sessions will review the causes and mechanisms of hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease, and metabolic syndrome, in addition to how the conditions are interrelated and connected. The module will also assess various methods of diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment, coupled with an assessment of laboratory evaluations, nutritional treatments, and lifestyle recommendations. Lectures will additionally emphasize the treatment modalities available for hypercholesterolemia, hyperinsulinemia, and hypertriglyceridemia, along with abnormal cholesterol fractionation results through a hands-on, case history format.
